HDD image created - VM created - after start BSOD

Post by MIRKOSOFT »

Hi!

I created disk image from my laptop with Windows 7 and then created virtual machine.
When I start machine, booting begin and after few seconds ends with BSOD.
I tried to use startup repair - Windows was not able to fix it.
I tried go to safe mode, but the same - BSOD.
I set hardware as laptop similar as possible.

Where do I mistake?

Thank you for help.

Given the amount of information provided, your guess is as good as anyone else's, and probably better.

Which one is it? Plus you should know the drill by now, a ZIPPED VBox.log is always required...
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

This is a physical to virtual operation. How did you do the conversion? Something didn't go "correct" during the conversion.

I created it by Paragon Virtualization Manager - no problem - this is why I understand it.

The suggested method is to delete any custom system tools from the VM, and then use Microsoft's Disk2VHD tool. You then convert the VHD to VDI and build a VM around it. I have not used Paragon and I can't comment on how it works or not.

Or maybe you can ask them what's going on.
