Hello, I use VB to run a few different OS's. On my windows host machine, I use CCleaner and Recuva to clean out old cache, temp files, etc. When using a VM with VB, where do these files get stored and how to I clean them? Will running CCleaner on the host clean out those files, or do I need to do it within each VM? I'm mainly wondering where VB saves these files...
Thanks!
Where does virtualbox store data?

Re: Where does virtualbox store data?
See section 10.1 of the user manual.
VirtualBox is a cross platform app and therefore does not rely on the Windows Registry to store anything, so CCleaner will be even less useful than normal.

I'm not aware that you have to use CCleaner anywhere. Dead entries in the Windows Registry were never a problem, even if VirtualBox created any.
