VirtualBox(Virtual Box 5.2.0) running Windows 7.
Shared Clipboard option is chosen as 'Bidirectional' however, no data can be copied and pasted between host (Windows 7) and VirtualBox.
Same thing with the shared folders: shared folders are added. however, not visible in the host machine or vice versa.

Re: Clipboard paste option and shared folders option
Please remember to include a VM log when asking such questions. It can get quite tiresome to keep reminding people.
With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

Re: Clipboard paste option and shared folders option
Please zip the log as asked next time.
I find no evidence that the Guest Additions have been installed. Clipboard and Shared Folders are both features of the GAs.

Re: Clipboard paste option and shared folders option
According to the instructions shown at the following link, I tried choosing 'Insert Guest Addition CD image' option under devices menu.

Re: Clipboard paste option and shared folders option
And if that happened when installing software on your Host Computer you would.... ?
Answer: Use the File Manager to navigate to the CD/DVD Drive and run the main installation file.
