Windows 10 Pro X64
VB 5.2.0
The system updated to Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.19)
Could not start a VM or even the VB GUI
Uninstalled VB and reinstalled using a non admin id. Got the UAC and provided an admin id and password. At the end of the process the GUI started as an administrator. Unfortunately all of my VMs and definitions are under my non administrative id. Closed the GUI and tried to start it without admin privileges and nothing appeared. Tried to start a VM using a link setup for it. Finally, got an error popup:
Failed to acquire the VirtualBox COM object.
The application will now terminate.
Completely failed to instantiate CLSID_VirtualBox: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE.
Result Code: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE (0x80080005)
Component: VirtualBoxClientWrap
Interface: IVirtualBoxClient {d2937a8e-cb8d-4382-90ba-b7da78a74573}
How do I get VB working again as a non administrative user?

Re: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE
I create a drive by using:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\DOS Devices]
"V:"="\\??\\C:\\V"
To create what looks like a drive V:\
All of my VirtualBox stuff is there. Every now and then a Windows Update removes the entry and VirtualBox cannot access anything.

Re: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE
I had the same problem. I've checked that all drives have labels. If not, I will set some. This step has solved my problem.
