Installing Win 10 64 bit Operating System
Installing Win 10 64 bit Operating System
Hi, I do not get prompted at any point during the installation of Virtualbox to install Windows 10 or any other operating system. The virtualbox application installs then when I create a new Virtual Machine, it cannot start because there is no OS installed. I have installed Virtualbox 3 times. From what I have found searching the internet, I am supposed to be prompted to use the first use time wizard. I am installing Virtualbox on a Win 7 64 bit system. Thank you.

Try the User Manual, particularly the Section on "Installing your first virtual machine". It's available through program's 'Help' and Online.

No you're not. The wizard is used the first time that you initiate the creation of a VM, not when you install VirtualBox. Here's my typical answer for every new user...fordmw62 wrote:I am supposed to be prompted to use the first use time wizard.
You sound like a fairly new user to VirtualBox. Since you are expected to know some basic terms before we engage in a meaningful discussion, I would suggest to start by reading three small chapters from the User Manual:
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
