Hello everybody,
I have spent the last day with a problem I couldn't solve. VB runs normally but when I run a guest, it is extremly slow (very very slow) but it runs. When VB has finished to start the guest and you just go to MyPC or whatwver (internet, Firefox, everything), guest OS halts and you cannot touch anything, yoo only can see the screen but everything is locked. You have to force the stop of the VM.
I have tried everything... uninstalling VB, installing it again, uninstalling Extension Pack, installing it again, everything. Even I have downgraded to the penultimate version of VB and EP but everythig keeps like before.
VB version now: 5.0.40 r115130
Extension Pack version now: 5.0.40 r115130
Host: Windows 8.1 64bits
Any idea?
Thanks!

Until you get into the habit of providing VM log files, you can expect that many readers will not bother to reply. You have 34 posts now, you shouldn't need reminding.

I provided every requested info here and I obtained no response:

In this thread, I would like to know why VB is so slow and how to solve it.
Thanks.

Hmm. Apparantly I didn't make myself clear: a VM log is not optional. Without it your question will be ignored, at least by me. I also will not discuss previous threads here, as that would be off topic.
With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

Great. I'll do it. The thing is that EVRY VM is running slowly, not only one.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well, I'm not seeing anything amiss in the log - and if all VMs are affected then it can't be a guest process which is using the CPU time, so it must be a host process. I assume you looked for the culprit in the host task list. What did you find?pepe_gotera wrote: The thing is that EVRY VM is running slowly, not only one.
