Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

I have no idea what RBHook.dll is but the word hook does not sound like a good thing. I think the best thing we can do here is move you to the Windows section of the forum where they can tell you how to deal with it.

Re: problems In Xubuntu with 'VirtualBox Guest Additions’
I don't recognize rbhook.dll, but the hardening log is happy (the DLL was kicked out and nothing crashed) so I guess it isn't a problem. It seems to be associated with an open source app on source forge called RBTRay Portable.
So, leaving that aside. I'm not sure this discussion belongs in "Windows Hosts". According to the log the folder has been shared :-

I'd say that this now becomes a matter of guest configuration.VBox.log wrote: 00:00:04.757095 Shared Folders service loaded

Thanks Don.
Like I said it look suspicious but that's why I sent them here. I would make sure that you did the step of adding your user name to the vboxsf group on the guest following a reboot as described in the users manual then. http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.h ... mount_auto

Re: problems In Xubuntu with 'VirtualBox Guest Additions’
I did cross my mind (and I forgot) to ask what kind of drive "H:\" is. With GA shared folders I don't think it matters, but it isn't generally acceptable to share a share.
