cannot select Ubuntu 64-bit/mismatch the number of processors/cannot enter an operation system

Post by Pang »

Dear all,

I am the new user of VirtualBox. I want to run Ubuntu Linux on Windows 10 using VirtualBox.
I found only Ubuntu (32-bit) but I want to use 64-bit. How can I do?
I have already installed VirtualBox (VirtualBox-5.1.26-117224-Win; VBoxGuestAdditions_5.1.26). 8 processors are shown in "System" in the start windows, but 1 CPU was selected in "System" when I went into "Setting". They mismatch with each other. How can I match them?
When I press "Start", an error occurs that I cannot enter the operation system. The error message is as follows. How can I do?

Failed to open a session for the vitrual machine ubuntu.
VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED).
Result Code:
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
ConsoleWrap
Interface:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

Best regards,
Pang
