Mac OS X crashes when trying to update to Sierra
Mac OS X crashes when trying to update to Sierra
I'm running Mac OS X Yosemite on VirtualBox 4.3, on Windows 10, as its the only version that would load the .iso in the first place. However, it's not the proper version to install XCode (the whole reason I've done this in the first place). But when I click restart in order to install the OS update, the whole thing crashes and the VM refuses to respond except to close and power off. When it turns back on it has not done the update. Can anyone help?

You do not have an OSX Host, you have a Windows Host, and unfortunately OSX guests are only supported on Apple hardware (which you do not have). See: Important notice regarding Mac OS X as Guest.
