Windows XP, video recording of the desktop, but no audio.

Post by Darwin »

Hello,

Thanks for this VirtualBox program, it is very useful.

I would like to ask, if it is possible to record video with audio, in the guest operating system (Windows XP)? I already did the test, but it does not record the audio. In Windows XP the audio is heard, but at the time of recording the desktop, the video is played without audio.

The Host Operating System is Windows 7 64bit
VirtualBox 5.1.22

If I'm not mistaken, audio recording is not enabled in the Video Capture feature of VirtualBox. I believe it's a developers' choice at the moment, which may change in the future.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
