complete removal of VB and VM

Post by fidelcubas »

Hi everyone! I had an error that prevented my VM centos to start. I searched internet and asked it here but nobody could help (. so i decided to completely uninstall VirtualB. and VM centos.I tried to uninstall it as it is said in documentation but as i install it after uninstallation, and again create a new VM centos, it still keeps that error which been preventing it from start before. It still keeps the old settings. I deleted the folders also but it didn't help. Plz tell me how can i completely remove VirtBox and its VMs. so to install it from scratch as it never been install before. (to avoid any errors) I use Windows7 . Thanks in advance!

If you don't report error messages then no-one can help you.

Hi everyone! It has been solved already . I, actually ran sfc /scannow as "Mpack" advised before, and it solved the problem. The problem happens because of pirate version of Windows. If you use a windows activator(pirate) it prevents the VM from start and gives that common error. I actually didn't know that mine is pirate because i visited a PC service several days ago and probably something happened there. Anyway if someone has this problem try to run cmd as Admin and run the above mentioned command. Thank you!
