VM Kernel Error

Post by cybergodfather666 »

Hi. I am a new user to VirtualBox and don't know much, but OK

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit Service Pack 1 and I downloaded VirtualBox. I enabled every setting on download, then restarted as said. I then created a VM for Windows 10 64Bit and went with the recommended settings - RAM, Memory etc. I started the machine and I get this:

VirtualBox - Error in supR3HardenedWinReSpawn
__________________________________________________

NtCreateFile(\Device\VBoxDrvStub) failed: 0xc0000034
STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND (0 retries) (rc=-101)

Make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully.

where: supR3HardenedWinReSpawn what: 3 VERR_OPEN_FAILED(-101)
- File/Device open failed. Driver is probably stuck stopping/starting. Try
'sc.exe query vboxdrv' to get more information about its state. Reeboting
may actually help.

Then:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 10.

The virtual machine 'Windows 10' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'C:\Users\sid\VirtualBox VMs\Windows 10\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {b2547866-a0a1-4391-8b86-6952d82efaa0}

I typed sc.exe query vboxdrv into Command Prompt and got this:

SERVICE_NAME: vboxdrv
TYPE : 1 KERNEL_DRIVER
STATE : 1 STOPPED
WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 31 (0x1f)
SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : 0 (0x0)
CHECKPOINT : 0x0
WAIT_HINT : 0x0

Then I went to : C\Users\MyName\VirtualBox VMs\Windows 10\Logs\VBoxHardening.log

I didn't get it so I rebooted my PC. The error still occurs. PLEASE HELP. It tried this

' s.id / vboxothererror' but it didn't work

PLEASE HELP A NEW USER IN NEED.

Thank You

Please read the following FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues.

In your case it's most probably MarlwareBytes.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
