WHICH NAS SYSTEM is GOOD for VM's?

Post by AnonymousDuck »

hello,

looking into purchasing my first nas system. Obviously i will be using fast internal type storage drives not slow archive type drives. Not trying to break the bank but would like something nice...

I am assuming that i will need something with ethernet xfer ability? everything else is slower than ethernet now correct? Lmk options. not trying to break the bank but woud like something decent :) ttys!

Bum please. I want my NAS :)

p.s. In a NAS system Say I have 8x 5tb drives (i know 5tb dont really exist just for easy numbers)

so 40tb total. Will the nas allocate these as all one single giant drive then i partion? Or will they be diff drives? OR can you set it for both. Thanks!

I'm not sure I can see the connection between your question and a VirtualBox problem. Maybe you should be looking elsewhere for answers? It's not like VirtualBox users use a NAS server everyday, have compared NAS servers, and know your financial status...
