VirtualBox ubuntu 16.04 hangs

Hi,

I am using VirtualBox for ~1 year now on my Windows 7 machine to host Ubuntu (first 14.04LTE and now 16.04LTE) .Since ~2 weeks my Ubuntu-16.04-desktop-amd64 sometimes sometimes hangs without any reason.
When this happens I cannot control the machine any more and I can see that it was frozen since the clock displayed in Ubuntu isn't updated anymore. I have to stop the machine through Virtual Box and restart it.
This started with version 5.1.6, which I was running for ~ 3 weeks. Things I have tried without any luck:

- upgrade to 5.1.8
- create a new ubuntu machine from scratch
- uninstall Virtual Box, run cc cleaner, reboot, reinstall VirtualBox

I also have created a new machine on another PC(wich has the same specs as my PC), and this seems to work fine for now.
So this puts me in the direction there is something wrong with my Win7 PC.

Find attached the machine configuration and log (zipped to avoid 128KB attachment limit) where @ 04:00:43 stop the machine since it is no longer responding.

Any help would be apprieciated.
