Do not run "virtualbox guest additions" on Windows Server 2008 R2
Installed, it restarts, but it just simply does not start
Tried different versions Windows server 2003, 2008, 2008 r2 - nowhere to run
If I run your hands VBoxTray.exe, it hangs for a while in the process and then disappears
On Windows 7 all works
Help please!

• Windwos 10 v1607 (assembly OS 14393.187) x64
• Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard v6.1 (assembly OS 7601: sp1) x64
• Originally stood VirtualBox 5.1.4 version
  Today updated VirtualBox 5.1.6, also did not work here

Almost. You're missing the most important one, VBox.log.

What is the evidence that this is a VirtualBox problem? I've never heard anyone else complaining that the GAs don't work in Win2k8. I don't like the fact that the install ISO is still in the drive, or that the ISO is in a "Downloads" folder. That doesn't exactly speak to this being a legit install of Win2k8.

For a long time, I did not use virtual machines. A couple of days ago, I again needed, the program itself was already updated, and in the vir- tual machine me asked to update the "virtualbox guest additions" program, after which the clipboard worked as expected.
