Virtualbox and VMware server on the same Windows XP host

Post by marius_1956 »

Can I install Virtualbox on a Windows XP PC box where VMware Server is installed?
Can Virtualbox and VMware Server coexhist on the same Windows XP box?
Is there any known issue?
Regards

Nope. I've done it whilst migrating from VMware Server to VBox. If you want to interoperate (e.g. rsynching data) you will need to have one if not both bridged.

I started VirtualBox the other day (vista host) while virtualpc was still running in the tray but with no VMs running

Boom - instant bluescreen - stop error 7e, type 00 which is divide by zero. I didn't catch which driver it was tho.
