Mouse not found during linux installing

I try to install rhel4 on virtualbox, but it doesn't find the mouse - ?

I foud out that reason is sata-disk emulation in vm (1.6).
the mouse works during installing only if no sata-disk connected to vm .(only with ide-disks)

Did somebody succeed in installing linux (guest) to sata-disk ?
I've got error ~ irq timeout: status=0x50 {DriverReady SeekComplete}
