The virtual machine I am attempting to load is Kali Linux, the newest version as of today's date. 3-27-15.
I am running Windows 8.1.
I checked in the Bios under Virtualization Technology. It is enabled.
I tried going to System > Acceleration, but it is grayed out.
The error message reads: AMD-V is not available. (VERR_SVM_NO_SVM).

Some other program is using the Virtualizatioin feature of the CPU. Common culprits are: Hyper-V, VMware, debugging tools, mobile app development environment, some antivirus.

have same problem.
VB 4.3.28, win 8.1 x64.
other linux machine works normaly.
