I have tested VirtualBox-4.3.27-100091-Win.exe on Win 7 64-bit and still get failure.

I thought I read if you are getting this error…

f60.1458: supR3HardenedScreenImage/NtCreateSection: cache hit (Unknown Status 22900 (0x5974)) on \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\kernel32.dll [lacks WinVerifyTrust]

that indicates a problem on the host caused by one of the recent Microsoft updates. I could be wrong.

It means that core OS DLLs are failing certification checks against its own certificates database, so definitely not something good.
