Hi,

VirtualBox-4.3.15-95599-Win.exe solves the issues here with NVIDIA drivers. The GUI starts without any problems. Virtual machines work fine, too - I tested guests: Ubuntu Linux, Windows 7, Mac OSX

Your previous post concerned 4.3.14, which is why it was ignored. Please read the first message of this discussion.

I just installed the 95599 version and it seems to be getting an error that others have gotten in previous builds. For me the previous build was able to launch the VMs with no problem. However on this new one I am getting the error trying to start a fresh VM. The error message title is "Error In supR3HardenedWinReSpawn". The error description is

"NtCreateFile(\Device\VBoxDrvStub failed: 0x0000034
STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND (0 retries)
(rc=-101)

Make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully."

I'm running Windows 7 x64 and Symantec Endpoint Protection v12.1.4013

Installed the latest version of Virtual Box on my Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit system and received the error below when attempting to launch a VM. The Virtual Box application opens without any errors, but the VMs will not launch successfully (see error below).

For me the release is pure crap.

The machine: Win 8.1 64 Bit, ESET Nod 32.

Guests: Win7 32/64 starts without Aero.

Win 8.1 is flickering, 3D is missing.

Hi.. I reported here before. Installed the 4th build 95599. When I run the ubuntu VM (created via vagrant) it just gives a black screen straight after POST.

Win8.1. New lenovo core i5 laptop. Grisoft AVG 2014.

I've pasted my whol VBoxStartup.log at http://pastebin.com/fVbXAbSN. The only errors I can see in the file are (appears twice, and no, wintab32.dll doesn't exist and I don't have a wacom device):

Code: Select all

15e4.2120: supR3HardenedMonitor_LdrLoadDll: pName=C:\windows\system32\wintab32.dll *pfFlags=0x0 pwszSearchPath=<NULL>
15e4.2120: supR3HardenedMonitor_LdrLoadDll: error opening 'C:\windows\system32\wintab32.dll': 2
15e4.2120: supR3HardenedMonitor_LdrLoadDll: returns rcNt=0xc0000135 'C:\windows\system32\wintab32.dll'
btw.. thanks for the support you are providing us with this issue. Make sure your Oracle overlords get the beers in when it's resolved! :)

[SOLVED] I was using an amd64 image. The 95663 build is fine for me.

Looks like the updated version 4.3.15 fixed my install issue when combined with putting Bitdefender in game mode.

I've installed the VirtualBox-4.3.15-95599-Win.exe release and I receive an error message that says that it cannot find some DLL file (see the pic).
The reason I installed this version, is that all the other versions I installed - I received the "Failed to verify process integrity: More than one thread in process (rc=-5640)
Any ideas?

I downloaded the latest 4.3.15 build on a Windows 8.1 host machine. Virtualbox couldn't initiate my Ubuntu VM. I got this error:

"Failed to open a session for the virtual machine ubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-amd64.

VT-x is being used by another hypervisor. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

VirtualBox can't operate in VMX root mode. Please close all other virtualization programs. (VERR_VMX_IN_VMX_ROOT_MODE).

Component: Console
Interface: IConsole {8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6} "

Attached is the log. I have disabled Hyper-V and yet still unable to work around it.

The error message says it all. Completely unrelated to this problem. Please create a different thread if necessary and don't pollute this very overworked thread any more than absolutely required.

Unfortunately we have no way to find out what it is on your system that's using VT-x, just that there is something and therefore we cannot use it.
