PCLinuxOS2007 with additions -> incorrect mouse position

Post by loveyourgenome »

Hallo,

just startet with virtual box.

PCLinuxOS2007 as guest system worked really well until I installed the virtualbox additions. Now the mouse position shown on the screen doesn't fit to the position in the guest OS no matter if the guest system is run in a window or fullscreen. (ATI Radeon X1300xt with 1680x1050 flatscreen)

Any ideas how to fix this?

Check out my post, "Crazy Mouse in PCLinux" and the 240 odd views it has had without a clear, simple solution that doesn't involve losing one function to retain another.
If you like PCLinux, try the earlier version .93, it works fine, but pushes the host CPU to the limit. Still no fix for this either.
Ubuntu/Kubuntu works really well with only a 30 to 60 percent host CPU usage.
I guess no system is perfect, even VMware and Parallels do not run all distributions and they are retail ware.

Cheers
