WinXP x64 and Vista 32

Hi,

I have seen a few topics devoted to file sharing, but it causes me headaches. My primary OS is XP64 with SP2. I run 32bit Vista in a virtual system so I can get at some apps that won't run on my primary OS.

I cannot get the file sharing working though. I do everything it says in the manual, but it always complains at the prompt when I type the "net use ..." statement that the path cannot be found. I do" net use z: \\vboxsvr\pics and I am trying to share my c:\pics\ folder on my primary OS.

I have standard networking set up so the virtual OS can access the internet, but nothing more elaborate than that.

Is that the problem? Or am I just missing something simple here?
