all of my questions about VB

Post by arinlares »

well, i have a Windows XP, 150GB hard drive currently at half full, and 512 MB of RAM. What i want to use Virtual Box for is running the Ubuntu linux build.

My biggest question is this: Does VirtualBox save the virtual hard drive files in a directory on the Windows (my host) hard drive (via C\:Virtual Box....), or is it more complicated than that (if it is more complicated, please elaborate).

To the linux users, if there is a more efficient build of Linux you recommend for my situation, feel free to do so.

The default location is on the C: drive but you can move them or save them anywhere you want. The hard drive image is a single file.

Also, if you only have 512MB RAM, I don't recommend virtualization.
