¿Have to do a complete un install for that?
¿Is'nt there some precedure to disable or uninstall bridged networking only?

I have 15 (fifteen) VM's on one host and I really DON'T like the idea of importing them manually

Uninstall will effect only VirtualBox app; but not VMs.

I have been installing Virtual box on a windows 10 technical release for testing purposes. I have noticed that on a windows 10 box that the Virtual box application fails to start due to a missing controller - apparently Windows 10 strips out the realtek PCIe GBE family controller. Although I have reinstalled the drivers for the controller, I am getting compatibility errors when launching Virtual box. Is there a compatibility issue between Windows 10 and virtual box that you are aware of ??

Hi all,

OK, I’m confused (more than usual). Specifically, I have been running a couple of the listed problem children on two hosts for several years, so I am wondering what I am misunderstanding. Specifically,

• Microsoft VirtualPC
• NVIDIA nForce Network Driver

I am currently running VirtualBox v4.3.12 r 93733 (I am waiting to see if the “hardening” boondoggle that started last year is finally fixed in VB5 before upgrading) on a Windows 7 host, which currently lives alongside VirtualPC2007, as well as VMWare Player. I have never had a BSoD. I also have a WindowsXP machine that has both VirtualBox and VirtualPC2007 installed simultaneously, which has an ASUS NVIDIA nForce board (the network driver is installed). Also, no BSoDs. Note that, while all are installed next to each other, none are run at the same time.

If it matters, the various VMs are used as follows:

VirtualBox: WindowsXP, Ubuntu
VirtualPC2007: Windows98SE (best VM for Windows 98)
VMWare: WindowsXP Gaming (better 3D implementation)

Thanks!

NVIDIA nForce Network Driver

My PC wich runs succesfully vbox 4.3.12 with 5.0 guest additions has an nForce network controller.
I have been running virtualbox on this PC for about three years or more, with no problem.
My problems started AFTER 4.3.12 with the new "hardening" ....
The only version newer than .12 that I have not yet tried is 5.0, ALL the others don´t work.

But back to point: nforce on my asus mobo does not have problems with 4.3.12

4.3.12 doesn't have the hardening. All the theme tweaks, antivirus, video drivers etc glitches that have been reported won't happen with 4.3.12 or earlier because Virtualbox doesn't check their authenticity certificates (or whatever it does check)
The hardening started in 4.3.14 and continues in 5.0

Then I guess that means no more Virtual Box for me on this machine unless I stick to OLD versions for ever?
nForce controllers ARE on quite many mobos...... :x

Only for as long as you don't use a proper Operating System that is :)

Panda Cloud AntiVirus has a network driver that prevented the internet on the host to work for me.

Just a heads up.

Comodo is finally working again.

VirtualBox 5.0.8

Comodo Firewall 8.2.0.4703

Host OS: Win 8.1 x64

Guest OS Tested With: Windows Server 2012, Windows XP, Win8.1 x64, and Debian 32Bit

Slow to load and keeps turning on/off numlock but they work, finally. :D

this sounds like it is getting complicated. Simplest option is to go out and buy a copy of Windows 7 Pro, which includes a Windows XP artificial environment option.
