4.1.6 USB problem

I use a empty filter on my VM (settings->USB->add empti filter). Now 4.1.6 freeze and stop workin when I insert an USB webcam, or mouse cursor is locked (but keyboards work) when i insert a USB pen drive.
All other previous versions work fine.

I experienced this problem with 2 computers, xp host and windows 7 host.

I have same issue. although i have not tried nothing other than an usb drive.

the usb drive from the host was successfully disconnected (rather replaced with vbox drive), then windows xp guest recognized an usb device, but failed to go further. when i set the usb from the setup & restarted windows xp guest, windos xp was hung until i removed the usb device from the virtualbox 4.1.6

i hope this recurring usb issues will be fixed soon & permanently. below is my experience from previous version of the virtualbox with a suse linux guest.

previously, i had same issue with 4.x.x version, and there was a hot-fix version to address that issue. what happened was linux guest did not see any usb device even after add a certain usb device. the hot fix version fixed the problem, but unfortunately, it seemed regression test failed, but in a different way
