Hi, I've spent several hours trying to get an existing VMWare 4.5 vmdk with Debian 3.0 inside running in virtualbox. Problem is buslogic SCSI hardware.
I've tried to convert the vmdk using VMWare Converter without success.
Also using qemu-img and vditool weren't able to convert to IDE.
Has anybody succeeded in switching SCSI to IDE?
Or is there some option in virtualbox that it emulates IDE?
Should I wait for the next version?
Or just give up and build a new Debian system from scratch?
cannot run .vmdk File in 1.52

I'm not sure if the BusLogic adapter is the real problem. There might be a difference of the disk geometries are recognized by VMware and VirtualBox. In SVN head we just added a bigger change to make VirtualBox more compatible. And no, there is no VirtualBox option to switch to a SCSI adapter or similar.
