Fullscreen and Seamless populate wrong monitor

Post by ourcats5 »

I am using a dual screen (two 19" wide screens) with the intention of running Windows 7 on my primary monitor and XPSP3 virtual machine in full screen mode on the second monitor. No matter what I do, I can not get the VM to populate the secondary monitor in either full screen or seamless mode. It only populates the primary monitor. This seems to only be the case with this newest version of Virtual Box, 4.0.2 r69518 as this was not an issue on eariler versions. Is there a patch I can install to correct this issue?
I have checked all the display options and the settings are well within the reccommended parimeters for this system.
Thanks for any help.

press host+home and adjust the relationship there.
See Chapter 3.5 Display settings in your VirtualBox users guide.

That was not very clear. Neither was chapter 3.5. Here is an image showing the path after pressing host+home.

Clarity is key here:

To restate the instructions included above (Under Windows 7):

1. Enter Full Screen Mode (Note what your [HOST] key is prior to doing this [or check your settings to confirm what it is]):
2. Hit [HOST]+[HOME (Keyboard Key)]
3. Select View and select the screen to be displayed on

Thank you for the help, it was bugging me as well, and I did not realize this full screen functionality in all the years using VB.
