device drivers missing in virtual xp pro

Post by diablo »

have ibm pentium II, 384 mb RAM
windows xp pro host

guest just installed with the latest virtualbox

i made a slipstream of xp pro with all my drivers and the latest hotfixes added with nlite 1.4.1

ran the new slipstreamed xp pro disc install into virtualbox, virtualbox worked great but when i went to check to see if all my drivers where installed and that i didnt miss any driver, i found that two drivers in device manager have yellow question exclamation points next to them

one being a video controller (VGA compatible)

the 2nd being base system device

are these two components missing drivers because i missed adding them into the slipstreamed disc or is it missing the drivers because the guest windows operating system in virtualbox is suppose to be missing these two drivers because of my system or because of how virtualbox works??

thanks

Did you install the VirtualBox guest additions? I assume not.
