Why no proper AMD-V (SVM) support?! AMD-V don't work

Post by iNsuRRecTiON »

Hi there,

if I want to install a german WinXP SP2 Iso in Virtualbox as guest in german Windows Vista (host), then the installation don't continues and hangs with black screen.

If I disable the AMD-V option, then the installation work.

Should I send the logs of Virtualbox to the developers?!

I thought the developers are german, why there are no german help from the developers in the german forum section..?? :?

My system:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2, 3800+ Stepping BH-F2 (SVM is supported)
Motherboard: MSI K9N SLI Platinum (MS-7250)
Speicher: 4x 1GB DDR2 Corsair Value 667 MHz
Grafikkarte: nVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTO

German thread here:
