Just an excerpt from Ch. 7.1.2. You should read it all to see what other available options you have.
The other alternative is to start VBoxHeadless from the VirtualBox Manager GUI, by holding the Shift key when starting a virtual machine.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Fantastic software - Great Job I just love it. The biggest bonus for me was that its saves state when the host is shut down. Cant thank you enough.

This sounds like a great way to manage the running of the VBox. I'd like to use it. My only problem is my router is not letting me download it because it has a Trojen.

This is the message I get when I try to download it:
"This request is blocked by the SonicWALL Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: (Cloud Id: 2030655) Agent.ARC (Trojan)"

Thanks,

Nice little program. The only problem is that it unconditionally add itself to autostart.

For anyone who might end up here:

VBoxHeadlessTray seems to have been updated for VirtualBox 5. See download link in OP

This looks like a super utility! I'm going to give it a try as soon as I post this note.

This is currently falling over in 5.1 Beta 2 (GitHub issue), in case anyone using this is planning to try the beta out and relies on this.

I get 'Internal error: Cannot expand "pf64" constant on this version of Windows" when trying it on XP and I don't think I can change it to 64-bit rip
