Logitech Quickcam 4000

Post by chrimp »

Hi,

I run Windows Vista as host and Windows XP as guest.
My problem is to get my webcam Logitech 4000 PRO running. I installed the software and the driver, but my XP can't find it.
The webcam works perfectly under the hos.
I also installed the GuestAddition...

thanks for any idea

cheers

Well the Logitech 4000 PRO was definitely recognized in my virtualbox xp-guest installation, after I "attached" it via the virtualbox device menu on the top of the running virtualbox window, (it was one of the unknown usb devices with the ID 046d:0882), after that it showed up in the guest machines hardware-manager with its full name.
However until now I am not able to use the quickcam, the webcam application recognizes the camera but says that it is used by another application.
Sorry, no idea.
