Ahem. The only way around the "No bootable medium found" message is to mount a bootable medium in the VM, e.g. the setup CD for the guest OS of your choosing. The extension pack is not even part of the VM and is totally irrelevant to this - in fact it didn't even exist when most of the above messages were posted.
