Slow VirtualBox Host Interface

Anyone else find it odd that the VirtualBox guest OS installs the NIC as a "AMD PCNET Family PCI Ethernet Adapter" with no "Fast Ethernet" support?

I have it setup to connect via a Host Interface where I bridged the connection with my real host NIC. This gives me both LAN and WAN access inside the VirtualBox. Great for doing a VPN, as only the VirtualBox acts as the VPN'd system, and I can still do non-VPN'd stuff from my host.

Anyway... the VirtualBox only connects at 10Mbps. I'd love to see drivers for an adapter that can do 100Mbps, or even 1Gb.

Or is this already possible and I'm crazy for missing it?
