Dell M1210 Lock up

Post by drei22 »

I have a strange problem on my laptop. Vbox 1.5 works great I have totally replaced my VMware install in favor of the product. The only problem is that when I minimize the VM window my laptop totally freezes to the point where I can't even ctrl+alt+del. When running in headless mode I can't minimize the DOS prompt without my laptop freezing.
All other features work incredibly well. Anyone else experiencing an issue like this?

PC: Dell M1210 Core2Duo 2.0GHz
Ram: 4 Gigs 667Mhz
Host OS: WinXP Pro 32bit SP2
Guest OS: Same as host

I assume you have turned on hardware virtualization in VBox? Others have reported similar problems and we've been able to reproduce it. Turning this feature off should do the trick.

Thanks Sandervl! Since turning off VT minimizing and lock ups are no longer a problem.
