Hello,
I used the vboxprocrun Script, but I don't want to use the VboxHeadless.exe. I want to use virtualbox.exe but I can't see the window. Is there a way that I can load the program with an other user then SYSTEM?
Best Regards
Micha

Re: HOWTO - virtualbox as a service on Windows (SRVANY.EXE)
A few of our VirtualBox customers use our commercial application (AlwaysUp) to start a VM as a service when Windows boots. We have created a step-by-step tutorial to guide them through the setup:

Hopefully others here will find this useful too.

Re: HOWTO - virtualbox as a service on Windows (SRVANY.EXE)
Hello,
I tried to use this method to start a virtual machine as a service but I always have an error message from VBoxHeadless : "Invalid machine name or UUID!".
The service is run with the login name of the account which created the virtual machine (it is a local account in the machine).
The parameters of srvany in the registry are :
Application: C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe
AppDirectory: C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\My Documents (where XXX is the name of the local account)
AppParameters: /c "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxHeadless.exe" --startvm Web_Server
The host machine runs Windows Server 2003.
Could you help me ?
