I am running VirtualBox 1.5 on Vista Ultimate (32-bit) and really have had no problems with any OS I have installed ... until now.
Server 2008 installs fine but fails to install a network adapter.
Anybody had any luck with a manually-configured one?
I am not really looking to get into VPNs and bridged solutions - just the regular NAT-based adapter that works in every other OS I have set up so far.
BTW, anyone looking for a really idiot-proof Linux distro should try PCLinuxOS - it is by far the easiest to configure and use of any I have tried.
Server 2008 anyone?

Yep, that did it. Mounted the Guest Additions ISO and let the hardware wizrad go at it. Of course 2008's internet access is pretty locked down out of the box, but now I am up and running.BDKMPSS wrote:Windows Vista has the same problem...
And as Server 2008 shares a huge code base with visa, you should try the hints in the manual for networking under vista.
Thanks for the heads up!
