Drag and Drop sucks in host

Hi,
I run into a problem sometimes, unfortunately this behaviour cannot be reproduced:
HOST: VBox: 2.04 on Windows XP SP2
GUEST: Windows XP SP3 with VBoxGuestAdditions
Using this VBox sometimes disturbs the drag-and-drop (DnD) on the host machine. Suddenly - for what reason ever - DnD on the host within the host is not possible any more. I'm not talking about dragging from host to guest, I'm talking about the DnD within the host machine.
If you try to drag on the host the drag-icon shows up for a millisecond (or something like that) and disappears immediately. The result: nothing happens. It it like you try to drag with one mouse and someone is clicking with a second mouse somewhere so that the drag-process is stopped.
Is this a know issue?
Sometimes you can workaround this (let's say) bug if you close your VBox machine and your VirtualBox.exe application. If this doesn't work you have to restart your host.
Does anybody know better workarounds?
Any link or other help appreciated.
Thanks.
