Kali is usually used to try to pen-test other networks, and this is often done on Wi-Fi.

However, Virtualbox only provides wired Ethernet adapters to its VMs. To get Wi-Fi in the Kali VM you have to get a USB Wi-Fi adapter, then use Virtualbox USB Filters to pass the Wi-Fi adapter into the VM using USB basics and troubleshooting.

Additionally, if the "vboxmanage list hostonlyifs" is an indicator that your VM is set to use Host-Only, that will not get access to the internet. (So you wouldn't have a "disconnection" of internet, since that implies you had a connection previously; Host-Only will never give you an internet connection.) See Virtualbox Networks: In Pictures

To get Wi-Fi into Kali, get the USB adapter and follow the USB Basics tutorial.
