VM machines error
VM machines error
Since the update I can no longer boot all machines.
When the machine is loaded I get this error message. "Windows 10"
"The statement at 0x00007FFD0F1FD8F4 references memory at 0x0000016F2CF24414. The memory cannot be written."
I don't know much about the logs myself. Perhaps the problem is known to someone.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows a solution.

Re: VM machines error
I doubt that this belongs in the "Windows Pre-Releases" forum. Moving to "Windows Hosts".
The symptom is that of a hardening problem, a third party non-system DLL has probably been rejected due to a bad signature. Probably a graphics DLL. Review the hardening tutorial: FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues. Note the suggestion to test disabling 3D acceleration.

Re: VM machines error
Okay so it could be because I ran a virus scan. "avira"

Re: VM machines error
I don't see how. But third party virus scanners are superfluous on Win10 hosts anyway, so I suggest you stop doing that.
Re: VM machines error
Yes The virus scanner has long since been removed.
I don't know how to solve it.

Re: VM machines error
Please zip and post the VM's VboxHardening.log, the same way you did the screenshot.

Re: VM machines error
Provide the hardening log file for that VM. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBoxHardening.log" (no other file) to a file which you should then zip. Attach the zip here.

Re: VM machines error
The crash happened in VBoxDD.DLL in the function ohciR3RhDetach(), but this is probably a red herring, because something already initiated the termination of the VM beforehand. A (zipped) VBox.log file might provide more information.leer_Kali-Linux-2023-05-23-18-17-34.log wrote:10c8.2f14: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: load 00007ff9288d0000 LB 0x00b97000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxDD.DLL [fFlags=0x0] [...] 10c8.2878: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: Unload 00007ff9e9a80000 LB 0x0000d000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestPropSvc.DLL [flags=0x0] 10c8.2c3c: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: Unload 00007ff9e9c30000 LB 0x0000c000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestControlSvc.DLL [flags=0x0] 10c8.6170: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: Unload 00007ff9e6580000 LB 0x00014000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxSharedFolders.DLL [flags=0x0] 10c8.53e4: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: Unload 00007ff9f2900000 LB 0x0000d000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxDragAndDropSvc.DLL [flags=0x0] 10c8.4b1c: supR3HardenedDllNotificationCallback: Unload 00007ff9f3fc0000 LB 0x00010000 C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxSharedClipboard.DLL [flags=0x0] 10c8.2f14: KiUserExceptionDispatcher: 0xc0000005 (0000000000000001, 000001c19d4a7414) @ 00007ff9289cd8e4 (flags=0x0)

Octo, it is considered vandalism of the forum to delete logs after others have commented on them. See your forum private messages and comply immediately.fth0 wrote:the log file has been removed in the meantime.

Re: VM machines error
Thank you - but see fth0's request for the "vbox.log" file. So post it in the same way, but select the "vbox.log" file.
Re: VM machines error
It's working again. I don't know if it's still useful.

Re: VM machines error
Thanks for putting the log back, Octo!
The vbox.log may help, in order to understand why the original error occurred.
