Hello,
I've recently installed VirtualBox 7.0.6 on my Windows 11 operating system laptop and it has an strange behavior. The machine guest (Windows 10) starts normally but in less than a minute it stops running (but still consuming the same resources of CPU) until I move the mouse cursor over its window. Then the machine seems continuing working normally until I stop moving mouse cursor over it. Then the cycle repeats.
How can I solve this issue. Is there a solution ?
Thanks in advance.
Guest stops running
Re: Guest stops running
Hello,
Get the same behaviors...
In your Guest, your can show seconds in taskbar. Then you'll see that some time it don't change then quick update to current time.

Re: Guest stops running
UngeniO, please start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)
DenisF, please do the same but in a new topic.

Re: Guest stops running
Hello,
Thanks for your quickly respond.
I attach the logs of the virtual machine to this post. I started it from normal shutdown, wait until the problem has appeared and stopped it from the standard way (Start menu in windows and shutdown option).
Regards

Re: Guest stops running
You have Hyper-v running. This likely interferes with VirtualBox.
See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).00:00:04.783620 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: VT-x is not available

Hello,
Yes!!
After I've fully disabled Hyper-V following the instructions you've suggested me the normal behavior of guests virtualbox's machines has returned to normality.
Thank you so much.

Re: Guest stops running
Not sure what icon you're referring to, Denis, but running Virtualbox under host Hyper-V is a goal of the Virtualbox developers. Only thing is, the goal has been somewhat hard to pin down, due to Microsoft changing things, and various combinations of Windows host and VM OS doing different things.DenisF wrote:This icon should be red with warning message in tooltip.
