Fatal error when loading USB (Win98)
Fatal error when loading USB (Win98)
Hi I am trying to use Windows 98 in virtualbox on Windows 10. When I try to load a usb device, I get Fatal Error on the host os, not the guest. I am using USB 1.1 in settings. Why is this happening and is there a way around it?

Does the fatal error happen every time you plug in this device, even at times when the VM is not running? Or only when the VM is running?bobox911 wrote: When I try to load a usb device, I get Fatal Error on the host os, not the guest.

I think a screenshot of the error would be useful.
In any case you are probably wasting your time trying to connect a USB host device to a Win98 VM. The latter will require drivers for the device, and I'm betting you have no Win98 drivers for it.
