VirtualBox crashes Streaming from KODI

Post by W-trapper »

Hi, I'm using KODI on a Windows Machine for streaming movies, music and photos in my local home network since a few years.

A few days ago I installed VirtualBox (V7.0.4 ; no Extension Pack) to run HomeAssistant on a virtual machine.
Since this installation the DLNA- Server (KODI) is found by the TV and I can also browse the files (movies, photos, ...) but none of the files can be viewed anymore! Trying to start one of the movies there is a message at the TV that this file can't be viewed. Also with the photos - I can see the (small) preview but the photo is not shown anymore.

And it's depending on VirtualBox for sure. If I uninstall VirtualBox streaming works fine again.
I tried the same on a different Windows machine and the same is happening.

Any idea what's wrong?

Wolfgang

Windows (Host) Machine: Windows 10 Pro 22H2; 64 bit; Build 19045.2311; based on Intel Core i7
- VirtualBox: V7.0.4 ; no Extension Pack - I don't have any VM- log available because the problem happens also if there is NO VM running.
- KODI 19.4.0

Streaming Client: Sony TV
