developerdays Kernel panic

Post by philG1 »

Just installed VBox 7.0.4

I have just imported the developer days "Oracle DB Developer VM"
On startup all I get is :

kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal Exception
kernel offset: disabled

And then the machine hangs.

If you have only one processor in the VM, try 2. Else, try disabling Hyper-V on the host HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active) Else, post a log:

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Good. Glad you're up and running!

2 processors in the VM has been seen to make VMs run on a Hyper-V-active Windows host.
