Hi.
I am running VirtualBox as a service on a windows 11.
The virtualBox autostarts when the computer starts and everything is working great.
I have noticed that when i leave the computer with VirtualBox manager not running, the network stops responding after 50 minutes.
When i open the VirtualBox manager, it goes back to life and works fine.
If i leave the VirtualBox manager running, everything works fine for days.
I have checked the power settings on the windows 11, and it is always on while on AC.
The lan is connected with rj45 and not wifi.
any idea why is this happening ?
Thanks
Ronen

This one is a puzzle to me where to start.
Precisely, each time? Did you time it each time?RonenMek wrote:VirtualBox network stop after 50 minutes

Re: VirtualBox network stop after 50 minutes
This could be a failing DHCP renewal or DHCP rebinding attempt. Depending on the network setup, an investigation would go in different directions.
Additionally, you could check if there are one or two VBoxSVC processes running on your host, while your favorite task manager is configured to show the processes of all users and the VirtualBox Manager is running, too.

There are 3 VirtualBoxVM.exe processes and 1 VBoxSVC.exe.
Is that ok ?
There should be only 1 vm running.

Yes. On a Windows host, you should see 3 VirtualBoxVM processes for each VM and only 1 VBoxSVC process, all being run under your user account. If you had found another VBoxSVC process running under a system user's account, that could have been a problem.RonenMek wrote:There are 3 VirtualBoxVM.exe processes and 1 VBoxSVC.exe.
