Can't run Ubuntu with one CPU

Post by popzzah »

Hi, i bought a laptop recently with Windows 11. When i attempt to run Ubuntu 22.0.4 with one CPU, says me Kernel Panic Error, but with 2 CPU i don't have any problem. I have enabled virtual options from BIOS and i tried a few yt tutorials, and no one seems to work. :(

That's the way things have been going lately. If host Hyper-V is enabled (look for the green turtle in the VM's Status bar) then two processors are needed.

If you disable host Hyper-V (HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active)) then you might be OK with one VM processor, but several newer Windows services won't work.
