I am getting the error shown above. It randomly started and I have lost access to everything I need. I disabled hyper V, and changed to VBoxVGA. While in VBoxVGA I get stuck on bootup with a screen that says:
/dev/sda3: clean, 224196/622592 files, 2394739/2489344 blocks
Any advice on how to remedy this issue (log file attached).

Re: drm:vmw_host_log [vmwgfx]] *ERROR* Failed to send host log message
I didn't notice any "real" error reported inside the log files.
I'd suggest to provide 2 vCPUs to the VM. A modern (guest) OS is rarely tested on a single-core CPU in a physical PC.

I have the same error and i've provided 4 cores and 2048 mb of ram. I've tried more to no avail.

The instruction was to provide two cores, not 4 or more.
