Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
You have Hyper-v enabled.
See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).00:00:08.809031 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: VT-x is not available
00:00:08.908133 NEM: info: Found optional import WinHvPlatform.dll!WHvQueryGpaRangeDirtyBitmap.
00:00:08.908198 NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
And since Hyper-V is a Windows thing, not Linux:
The host is the physical computer, and the guest is the VM. Kali is the Linux 'guest'.
this topic would do better in Windows Hosts, not Linux Hosts.00:00:08.299664 OS Product: Windows 11
The host is the physical computer, and the guest is the VM. Kali is the Linux 'guest'.

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
You have already been told. If you open the reference sent to you by mpack you will see all the information we have on how to handle Hyper-V on the host.

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
The FAQ instructions work for all Windows versions (Win8 and later).
Here is the link again: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).
If you come back again to say that the instructions do not work, then be sure to tell us exactly what you did.

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
The tutorial specifically say to not try to handle this problem by turning off Windows Features. Are you reading the tutorial? Have you read the posts of others before posting again?

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
In what context?
If "error 87" means "incorrect parameters" then you did not type the command correctly. We can't help if you don't indicate what you typed.

If you keep ignoring advice and failing to answer questions then yes, you will continue to have problems.
The first reply gave you a link to a FAQ on how to solve your problem. The same FAQ was linked a few posts later. You have never given any indication of having read it.

Re: Kali Linux Stucks Always On Main Screen
We have no indication that Windows 11 has any different requirements than 10 has. The tutorial has worked for Windows 11 users too, when followed carefully. I am not sure if Insider Previews have further limitations, though. If it does, then you'll have to use a standard release to get past the limitation.SourabhSid wrote:im on windows 11 22616.1 insider preview version...the post is all about windows 10
You'll note that the tutorial explicitly states that if you cannot disable Hyper-V:
Mpack also said the same thing:post back exactly what you did and we'll try to help some more.
Your statement "i cant disable the hypervisor" is not at all a description of what you did.mpack wrote:tell us exactly what you did.
With the greatest respect, you must seriously try to follow instructions better, otherwise we will be unable to help.
