Repairing Windows 7 is a Microsoft thing, not a Virtualbox thing, so you'd do better asking in Microsoft channels how to fix this OS.

However, I suspect that the "load drivers" option is to allow computers with custom RAID controllers to access the drives behind the controller. Virtualbox would not impose a requirement for any such drivers, so loading drivers wouldn't help because of running the OS inside a VM.

The fact that the repair installer is unable to find the OS on the partition is telling.

Hi Everyone,

I played around quite a bit, tried many things and it got me nowhere. I am sure 90% of the problem is my inexperience in this area.

However, unless someone has something new for me to try (I will try anything), I think it is time to give this a rest and just let it expire unless new ideas arise.

Thanks again for everyone's assistance on this one. Perhaps others learned a bit from this; I know I learned a lot about these things.
