FYI.. 6.1.28 broke Hyper-V support, works after reinstalling 6.1.26

Post by SO3419 »

Hi. I run VirtualBox on Windows 10 Pro 21H1. I have WSLv2 (Windows Subsystem for Linux) enabled and that added a certain amount of Hyper-V pieces to my PC. With 6.1.26, I had no problems creating/running Windows or Linux VMs. However, after upgrading to 6.1.28, none of these VMs would start (init error). Reinstalling 6.1.26 fixed the issue. Thanks.

Yes, 'tis a known bug. 6.1.26 or the test builds work. If you try a test build, save the test build installer until you update again later.

Please use the Discuss the 6.1.28 release topic to discuss... uh... you know.

Btw, this issue has already been reported there.
