[Solved] Windows 10 21H1 VirtualBox 6.1.28 Guru 1155 on vCPU1

Post by Oracleiscool »

OK Team;

Had a new Windows 10 21H1 update and new .net yesterday, and today a new "Malicious Software (VirtualBox?) Removal Tool" from MS. After restart today, went to check VB, and the VM's crashed on reboot (but not on shutdown). Unlike previous post, this one had effect on cpu1 instead of 0. To fix I removed 3D acceleration, and turned down no. of CPU's to one, then all was well.

The only thing of importance to update in Linux distros was the tzdata file for clock update coming next month (I have seen that file make Linux act funny without a full power off, so maybe?) Here are the logs. :|

(Updated) @fth0;

So sorry. Had a log fupah.

Forgot to add;

After the Malicious Tool ran in Windows 10, It caused my turned off Security Settings in Windows Security to go into caution mode (Yellow and Black Triangle) for some of the Virus and Threat Protection Areas I have turned off to prevent other issues (to include turning off UAC). At this point, it is becoming a mystery as to what they are doing at MS, but for sure it is not helping Oracle (Which is Cool) :)

In the VM configuration, nested virtualization (System > Processor > Enable Nested VT-x/AMD-V) is enabled. Please disable it and test if the Guru Meditation still occurs.

@fth0;

That worked. Still had to reduce cpu from 2 to 1 (that issue has been around before this happened). It does not seem to effect performance. Did same for MX21 and Ubuntu. Thank you again for your help. :D
